Delightful Shoppy
This is the first of its kind in this part of India where special materials needed for training with suitable modifications for special children are sold at a particular place. This unique venture of the Spastics Society of Tiruchirapalli christened as Delightful Shoppy, was born out of necessity as these things are rarely available in the open market and even if they are available, it is quite difficult to get these items all under one roof. Again there are certain materials which need to be modified for its practical utility.
Considering these factors, the starting of a special shop has certainly become a boon for the parents. The materials that are available in the shop can be bought and used for promoting sensory stimulation, fine motor & gross motor skills, speech & communication and activities of daily living. Apart from these, aids & appliances needed for enhancing cognition skills are also available.
