The Spastics Society of Tiruchirapalli is a registered organization offering rehabilitation services for children affected by Cerebral Palsy and Multiple Disabilities. This was started in the year 1982 with the specific objective of providing training, education and rehabilitation services to children with Cerebral Palsy and Multiple Disabilities. It was formally inaugurated on 9 th November 1982 by the former Governor of Tamil Nadu, Dr. S.L. Khurana.

The therapy being given, education being taught, activities of daily living skills being provided, vocational training being imparted, job opportunities being created, values being inculcated, responsibilities being entrusted will certainly mould persons with disabilities into well rounded individuals, empowering them with self determination and enabling them to lead a life as independent as possible.

The activities and programmes of the organization are oriented towards creating an Inclusive Society in which persons with disabilities can live with dignity, enjoying the equal rights as citizens of India.
