  • Our focus is to provide accessible, affordable and appropriate range of high quality habilitation services for children with Cerebral Palsy.
  • Our aim is to provide self-development opportunities to the disabled, in order to enable them to live with dignity and be considered as equal citizens of India.

Objectives

  • To provide for the treatment, education and habilitation of children affected by Cerebral Palsy.
  • To establish all relevant types of services including Day Care Programme, Residential Care Programme, Clinics, Mobile and Peripheral Programmes etc., for the care and welfare of children with Cerebral Palsy.
  • To promote and establish activities for prevention of Cerebral Palsy.
  • To encourage and implement programmes for the training of personnel.
  • To publish journals and relevant literature in any language on Cerebral Palsy for the benefit of the workers, parents, similar organization and general public.
  • To fix, award and distribute prizes and scholarships for the Cerebral Palsied, for workers and for the institutions engaged in the service of Cerebral Palsied.
  • To promote public participation in the services to the Cerebral Palsied and to encourage the integration of Cerebral Palsied into society as equal citizens.
  • To affliate, become member and work jointly with other organizations working in the field of Cerebral Palsy and other types of disabilities.
  • To provide rehabilitation services to persons with all types of disabilities.
  • To do all such acts as may be deemed incidental or conducive to the attainment of these aims and objectives.

Philosophies

  • The family unit is the most important element in CP child’s education. The family and the successful functioning of the child within the family will be the focus of services for this service centre.
  • A complete assessment of the child in various fields has priority in the educational process.
  • A holistic approach to education is necessary and this education must include self-care training, academic skills, motor development and communication
  • This should lead towards realizing the rights of the people with disabilities
  • The reintegration of the CP child back into the family after the training is the ultimate goal.
  • The whole programme is organized by an inter-disciplinary team comprising professionals in various fields.
